The Classroom Connection
Our STEM-to-Stitch curriculum introduces students to the fundamentals of engineering, material science, and circular design.
Participants work directly with real sail materials—learning how to deconstruct, design, and build functional products.
The result is a practical, engaging experience that blends technical thinking with creativity.
The Great Sail Rescue: Our FREE 10 Module STEM Curriculum
ReSailor Kids is a no-cost proprietary environmental education and vocational craft program designed for kids ages 8 to 13; to promote public awareness of recycling/upcycling and to become active stewards of our waterways. The hands-on program is geared toward youth programs, schools, scouting troops, scout troops & sailing camps, and can be administered by ReSailor Team or your own staff.
Four Phases of The Program:
How the Program Works (Four Strategic Phases):
Phase 1: The "Why" (Awareness): Students explore the science of "immortal materials"; like Dacron, Mylar, and Kevlar, learning how un-recycled sails create a multi-ton landfill burden.
Phase 2: The "How" (Science & Sustainability): Kids use "visual math" and our proprietary CO2 Counter to calculate the "Ghost Emissions" saved by choosing upcycled gear over factory-made textiles.
Phase 3: The "Make" (Hands-On Crafting): A vocational module where students handle the tools of the trade, design custom templates, and physically transform in-kind sail donations into a rugged adventure bag to take home.
Phase 4: The "Impact" (Taking Action): Campers graduate as certified ReSailor® Ambassadors, taking an environmental pledge and organizing localized sail collection drives to expand waste-diversion infrastructure.
