The Partner Pitch: ReSailor X North Shore Sailing Clubs and Marinas
The North Shore of Ohio has one of the most vibrant sailing communities in the country, but as we all know, gear—especially for youth programs and new sailors—is a massive investment. Simultaneously, an estimated 97% of retired sails end up in Lake Erie area landfills.
ReSailor is launching a localized exchange platform to solve both problems, and we want our sailing partner to be a premier partner.
Why Partner With Resailor?
The ReSailor Exchange:
We take your members’ old sails on-site, and instantly swap for duffels at a generous “swap” exchange rate with no waiting for shipping.
Support for Youth Fleets:
We facilitate the flow of affordable gear specifically for junior sailing camps and STEM programs, lowering the barrier to entry for the next generation of sailors.
Zero-Waste Solutions:
We provide a 'Sail Drop Zone' service. Instead of members tossing old Dacron or Kevlar, we collect them for upcycling into custom 'Swag Bags' for your regattas.Member Benefit:
We handle the 'consignment headache' for your members, turning their unused locker gear into new ship-shape essentials, while keeping the club clutter-free.
Let’s discuss setting up a ReSailor Gear Drop at your club for the upcoming season. Let’s keep our gear in the fleet and out of the landfill.

Our ReSailor Story
Born from the thrill of racing J22s, ReSailor™️ LLC began when a 1990s regatta bag finally gave way, sparking a new tack for lifelong sailor Gordon Perry. Years later, after teaching himself to sew on a vintage Pfaff-starting with sand-filled paperweights and YouTube tutorials-Gordon turned a friend's donation of old sails into the very first ReSailor™️ Bucket Bag.
Today, we turn retired Dacron, Mylar & other sail material into a collection of rugged, handcrafted styles.
Through the swap model ReSailor™️ Exchange, we trade bags for old sails collected from regattas and clubs. These bags fuel our mission to keep high-performance gear out of landfills & back in action.
Through ReSailor™️ Kids -- we are teaching the next generation the power of upcycling & sustainability --- and there are ReSailor™️ Swag Bags, too, just for groups. We are stitching the spirit of the sea into every bag, handcrafted locally in Huron, Ohio.
